Esox Pike Dubbing

Esox Pike Dubbing is the go-to material for modern pike and streamer tying, giving the tyer complete control over the fly's appearance.

The material has a unique blend of thin round fibers and flat fibers. All fibers are lightly crimped, mimicking the scale texture of a swimming baitfish and creating volume without excessive weight. Esox Pike Dubbing shines when tied in clumps and folded back (reverse tying) – this way you easily create flies that appear large and broad in the water while retaining beautiful translucency.

Why Esox Pike Dubbing?

• Perfect for "Hollow" technique – This is not traditional dubbing wrapped around thread. It excels when tied in clumps with the fibers folded back. The result is an airy, lively, and structured body that doubles as the fly's wing.

• Natural scale texture – The blend of crimped, flat, and round fibers creates an extremely realistic texture in water. The fly "breathes" in rhythm with the retrieve.

• Water-repellent – Since the material is 100% synthetic, it doesn't absorb water. Even large flies stay light to cast and easy to pick up for the next cast.

• UVR-enhanced – Every color is built from multiple shades for depth. In UVR-marked colors, approximately one-third of the fibers are UV-reflective, improving visibility in low light and deep water.
